Progressive muscle relaxation helps release tension and achieve deep calm. Here’s how to practice:
- Find a quiet, comfortable place to sit or lie down. Close your eyes and take a deep breath.
- Start by tensing the muscles in your feet for 5 seconds, then release. Slowly work your way up your body, tensing and relaxing each muscle group.
- Focus on the sensation of tension leaving your body as you exhale.
- Continue this practice until you’ve fully relaxed every part of your body and feel a deep sense of calm.
